About Dave

Dave is a plumber, writer, entrepreneur, and owner of DS Plumbing in Ottawa. He also does a podcast called the Home Owner Resource.

He has a number of home system skills under his belt. He is not only a journeyman plumber, he is also a:

  • Licensed gas fitter
  • Certified home inspector
  • Well technician
  • Cross connection certified
  • Backflow installation, testing, and repair.
  • Dave first apprenticed as a plumber in 2000. He not only earned great marks in college, he also won a Bronze medal in the Ontario Skills competition in 2002.

Dave lives in Ottawa with his wife and business partner, Wendy. They love to provide a loving home for their rescue animals.
