Wendy Smythe

Wendy is originally from the Windsor, Enlgand. Before moving to Canada she worked as a nurse and met Dave when he was one of her patients following an accident. In her spare time, you’ll often find both her and Dave out in the community supporting local charities and causes. Wendy is also the co-author of There’s Nothing Sexy About Plumbing (…or is there!).

Nancy Smith

Nancy has been managing the OOTW office since 2012! When she is not keeping the office organized, she is busy working on her farm. Arkhaven Farm takes in animals with health issues, who would otherwise have been put down. Her farm-family includes horses, donkeys, dogs and cats, and she has found a recent passion for nursing abandoned kittens from a local barn. Nancy enjoys working with the great team at Out of This World!

In his spare time he likes cycling, going to the gym, and listening to indie music. In addition to plumbing qualifications, Jacob is also a certified Gas Technician and is currently learning Water Treatment services! His favourite part of the job is seeing a smile on a homeowner’s face when he is able to solve their problem, and he always makes sure to give the office cats a treat before he leaves for the day!

He listens to personal growth audiobooks while driving the needed parts to the techs on-location. He enjoys spending time with his partner and planning and constructing homemade contraptions. He is a published author on men’s style. Scott’s favourite thing about working for Out Of This World is the freedom to design and build useful tools for the warehouse and organizing everything to be efficient and clean.

Office Cats

Office Supervisors

We’re always on our toes at Out Of This World with our Kitty Office Staff nearby! Jake, Garfield and Spook are our lovely office cats that provide OOTW’s office with a cozy “home” feel. They are all rescues that have been adopted into our work family—Jake was a rescued stray, and Garfield and Spook were adopted from Country Cat Rescue. Always looking for cuddles and treats, these three really make Out Of This World what it is!
