If you know DS Plumbing, you know we’re passionate about helping animals. We’ve done a variety of fundraising events over the years, and in November we sponsored a spaghetti dinner at the Richmond Legion organized by our office manager Nancy Smith to benefit Furry Tales Cat Rescue and The Country Cat Sanctuary.
Dave served as MC while we served great food. With the silent auction and the 50/50 draw, we raised $1,820 for the two organizations!
Furry Tales Cat Rescue is located in Smith Falls, Ontario. They work tirelessly to rescue middle-aged and senior cats, and find them new homes.
They rely heavily on donations to help cover vet bills for all their feline residents. We’re happy to be able to provide some support this holiday season for all the cats ready to find their new homes.

The Country Cat Sanctuary provides permanent residency to all the cats they are able to rescue. Founder Gwen Thompson is extremely grateful for any and all support she and her cats receive.

The spaghetti supper wasn’t the only thing we did this season. The Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue needed space to create shelters for stray and feral cats. We offered them our boardroom as a construction space.
These homemade shelters will be lifesaving for any outdoor cats in the Ottawa area.
What many people don’t realize is how serious the stray cat problem is in Ottawa. The Stray Cat Rescue organization helps get adoptable cats off the streets and into good, loving homes.
